As soon as I add the shortcode [hotelier_booking] to any page and point the “Bookings page” to said page… it just throws me back to my homepage.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a new or pre-existing page. I even tried permanently deleting the bookings page and going to Settings>Tools>Install Pages to have it auto-created, with no success. Just sends me back to sopercreekwildernessvillas.com every time.d

I’ve disabled Listings, but that shortcode worked correctly, just for the record.

I have another question about Rooms; I’ll post a separate support topic.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

Yes, that’s correct. The booking page redirects you to the homepage if you don’t have any room in the cart.

If you disable the listing page you have to use the “Ajax Booking Room” widget in the individual room pages in order to add them to the cart. Otherwise you will never be able to add a room if the listing page is disabled.

The booking page is just a form with possible payments. A checkout to be clear. Something has to be in the cart: through the listing page or from the “Ajax Booking Room” widget.

    Best Regards,
    Benito

Oh geez ok that makes sense I knew I was missing something. I was looking for a booking widget or something, maybe I typed in the wrong search terms.

I don’t know if I’m just doing everything wrong or if it’s just plain not working. There are several widgets that showed up in Beaver Builder, the Ajax Booking Room widget, and a few Hotelier widgets like Room Filter. (None of the widgets showed up in the regular WP editor when I checked.)

But none of them appear to do anything, including the Ajax one. Nothing shows up when I save & refresh except for the one called “Hotelier Rooms”, which will display the rooms with thumbnails and link to their respective default pages.

Oh, and when I click “Check Availability” on the Room page, it throws me to the main page again.

LOL I think this plugin is just not meant for me. It looked like it was going to be perfect but it seems too complicated after all… I can’t even get the basic functions to work. Thanks for trying!

You should see the Ajax Booking Widget in the room page.

There are a few widgets included in the plugin but you need to understand that most of them have some restrictions.

    • Hotelier AJAX Room Booking is visible only in the single room pages
    • Hotelier Booking is visible only in the Listing and Booking pages
    • Hotelier Rooms Filter is visible only in the Listing pages
    • Regarding the datepicker in the room page, that datepicker is for redirecting the user to the Listing page. Again, considering that you have disabled the listing page, it redirects you to the homepage. Just remove it from your page using the option in Hotelier > Rooms & reservations > Hide room datepicker. It should be disabled when you’re not using the listing page.
