Hostname, FTP username & password HELP

  • Hello,

    I am trying to install a theme – which is pretty basic, when I do the site requires me to provide my hostname, ftp username, ftp password & type.

    FTP Username
    FTP Password

    I have attacked this from every angle and still can’t get this bloody thing to work..
    I’ve uninstalled in re-installed wordpress under the root dir of my .com site,
    I tried for my hostname my server IP, my site URL, my https://ftp.URL.com, localhost, wordpress, NOTHING works.
    I changed my FTP username and password twice just to make sure,
    I contacted my web host who told me the same stuff I already have done..

    what can I do??!!!
