Wordfence has a minute cron that Hostinger says is causing 503 errors as it’s overloading their system. This is even after a fresh install.

Hi @boionfire81, thanks for getting in touch.

Whilst we’ve seen the second report here, there haven’t been further reports specific to Hostinger across our Premium plugin customers at this point. That could suggest a specific conflict in your case related to plugin combinations, etc. We’d need to take a closer look to be sure.

Assuming you’re running the latest version of Wordfence, please send a diagnostic from the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics menu to us at wftest @ wordfence . com. Click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,
    Peter.

Note: @auction1 I’ve responded to your topic separately, thanks for opening that up!

At this point I have transferred hosts. Hostinger is the worst host I have encountered. This was just one of many issues with Hostinger. And customer support is like a dog chasing it’s tail. Round and round through their steps to contact them and it keep going round and round over and over never getting anywhere just back to the same pages. Where InMotion had my request (new dns records) replied to and solved in under 2 minutes.

IF there are further issues with my new host, I’ll let you know. But at this time dns records need to propagate etc.

I do have 1 question though. I use Cloudflare in addition. I’ve noted between the two hosts there is a connection issue. Cloudflare is blocking you guys. It’s not your fault, but any chance do you have information on how I can white list you through Cloudflare?

    Thanks!

    Hi @boionfire81,

Sorry to hear you’ve had to go to those lengths but if it provides you with a better experience going forward then it’s the best decision.

It’s just important to make sure Cloudflare allows your site to connect back to itself, and that Wordfence can detect visitor IPs on your site as well as connect for scans, rules updates etc.

Our IPs and possible need to allow them in Cloudflare specifically are mentioned here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/#servers-and-ip-addresses

How to allow our IPs in Cloudflare itself is highlighted step-by-step here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/central/connect/#troubleshooting-connection-issues

If you need to allow your own site’s IP(s) to connect back to itself, you can use the same method shown in the link above (finding the site’s IP(s) in Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > IP(s) used by this server if you don’t already know it.)

For IP detection, our “Use the Cloudflare “CF-Connecting-IP” HTTP header to get a visitor IP. Only use if you’re using Cloudflare.” option is explained here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/dashboard/options/#general-wordfence-options

I hope that helps you out!
    Peter.

Just an update, I’ve had 0 issues with compatibility using Inmotion. Guess hostinger was wrong/lied about their portion.
