• Hi,

I’ve been reading more and more about solutions like netflify, serverless solutions, etc.

How does it all work with wordpress? Are they wordpress-friendly? Any recommendations? Have you got experience with deploying a wordpress site to anything other than a traditional ‘LAMP’ hosting?

things like netflify, IPFS and other “serverless” solutions are suitable for static sites, they will have trouble with dynamic content.

WordPress is a CMS (or widely speaking – framework) that does serve dynamic content. Therefore you need to use traditional server, “anything-MySQL-PHP”
Linux and Apache are not mandratory, its fine to use nginx for example.

Thanks for the reply. However, Smashing Magazine, for example, moved from traditional wordpress to headless wordpress with jamstack on netlify so it looks like it’s possible (and relatively big websites do it) just wondering how widespread is it and how exactly it works with WordPress.
