    Hi there,
I’ve been informed by my host that Wordfence was causing problems with the SSL certificate on my website(s). I’ve been instructed to ask Wordfence.
I’m a little baffled, but I’d like to know how to overcome this: I’d like to use the plugin but also need/want SSL to work via my hosting provider.
What is it that I have to do to make the Wordfence plugin work without causing up a stir with my hosting provider’s SSL?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @totallydubbed,

Can you please ask them to elaborate on how Wordfence is interfering with the SSL certificate? Are you seeing any errors, or oddities?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

I did, and unfortunately, their reply was: Wordfence will know of the issue.
    Sigh.
    I’ll go back to them…

    Hey @totallydubbed,

This is an afterthought without knowing the actual issue.

Can you please disable the Enable SSL Verification feature found in Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Debugging Options and let me know if it helps? It’s at the very bottom of the page.

This is a shot in the dark, but please let me know if it helps.

    Thanks,

That looks to have fixed it, thank you!
Don’t know why they didn’t suggest this earlier :O

    Hey @totallydubbed,

Thanks for the update, and happy to hear it!

It’s possible they’ve seen this before, but wasn’t exactly sure which feature was causing it. Either way, please let us know if anything else comes up.

    Thanks,
