Hi guys, sorry if this sounds confusing

I have a website that I hosted through netregistry.com.au because that’s where I bought my domain name.

Little did I know, but I only had a 30 day free trial of hosting.

Luckily I was using WordPress and installed UpdraftPlus. Now for some stupid reason, I can’t see any backup file in my google drive even though I got an email saying UpdraftPlus has successfully been linked.

I was wondering if there is somehow a way to retrieve a backup. I’m going to call Netregistry tomorrow to see if they have a backup for me as a last resort.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @barney1902

    I’m sorry to hear that.

Do you see any “UpdraftPlus” folder on your Google Drive account? For the free version, that is the default folder destination.

I’m afraid we also do not have any control over your backups.

    Regards,
    Bryle

    Hi @bcrodua

    I don’t see the folder, I’m guessing I didn’t configure it properly.

Thanks for the reply, I will be calling the hosting provider in 30 minutes when they open and hope they have a backup.

    Hi,

I hope your host still has a backup copy of your website or files.
UpdraftPlus backup files are also stored in the “wp-content/updraft” folder.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle
