• my hosting company lost my website. I do have a backup, I believe a full backup, and I would like to re establish my site. Can anyone look at my files and see if they can set up my site again please?

Please do not give access to your backup to anyone here. You should probably hire a developer to look into this for you. We recommend using jobs.wordpress.net to find someone.

Does your backup include the WordPress MySQL database?

    Thanks for your reply Steven.

I looked at my backup files and they do not include a MySQL database unfortunately. I will look at a developer in jobs.wordpress.net

If you don’t have the database, then you don’t have the site’s content. You might check the “wayback machine” at archive.org to see if they’ve archived your site. If so, you can copy/paste that content into a new site.

Thanks Steven. I did check the wayback machine and it has my website listed…but it doesn’t tell you how to view it or get the files! Anyone there can help get my files?

@canadianrancher you need to restore your files to get the same theme, and plugins, then manually copy the content from Wayback Machine archive. And reconfigure all the plugins, and theme options to match what you had previously.
