• The hosting company I am using says that since (the same month I installed four separate installs of WordPress) I have gone over my limit of 15 open concurrent apache connections several times. The problem is my host automatically shuts the server down and does not bother to tell me.

Since I have has the same apps on the account for 5 years and when I install WP, I start having this issue, it must be related to WP.

    I have the following plugins:
    Socialize
    AdSense Manager
    Akismet
    All in One SEO Pack
    Google XML Sitemaps
    MightySearch
    wp-cache
    WP-o-Matic
    Amazon Showcase
    Google Analyticator
    Script Enabler

They advised I use pconnect for all mysql calls. That was their only advice.

Has anyone run into this same issue?

How can I fix or better utilize WP to avoid issue? (I initially tried for four days to get WP_MU to work unsuccessfully)

    Any ideas?

This might have something to do with rss feed readers – I don’t know.

    Many thanks for any help.

  • I am also experiencing the same problem and Hosting company advising the same solution (use pConnect). Dont know why it is happening after 1 1/2 years of hosting. Never had such problems earlier.

    Thanks
