Hostgator Favicon still showing

    Hello,

    The plugin was very simple and easy to use, but while the favicon sometimes shows on the homepage, on certain browsers, a hostgator favicon still shows. Why is this and how can I fix it?

    Correction: the correct favicon shows in the admin portion of my site, but the actual site still shows hostgator. Why is this?

    Hi,

    I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

    This may be due to a caching issue: because you already visited your own site, your browser cached the old favicon and won’t reload the new one.

    Two ways to check this hypothesis:

    • Visit your site with another browser (one that never “saw” your site)
    • Submit your site to the favicon checker (works only if your site is publicly accessible)
