    Hosting the database offsite is very easy, but it’ll result in slow page generations as it has to connect via the Internet and not LAN.

    As for hosting the WordPress files offsite, that’s not possible, at least in the sense that you probably want. The only way to get your WordPress install to show up on another site is to use an iframe I think. And this is’t a limitation of WordPress, it’s just how severs work.

    Maybe the real question should be is why do you want to do this?
