Host updated php and mysql. Website is now taking 15-25 seconds to load

I’m using mediatemple as a host for my wordpress site and have found out today that they’ve updated their php and mysql versions. Unfortunately, something with the update is conflictign with my wordpress and now it takes a hellishly long time to load the site. It wasn’t that fast before (maybe 3-6 seconds), but it was passable. Now, it’s taking upwards of 25 seconds to load. The website also freezes momentarily when I click on a link before starting to load the next page.

Can someone help me with this? We are using wordpress to publish our business website. Thank you for your time.
