Horrible UX and design
-
For end-users this has to be the most confusing off all Cooky compliance plugins. It shows you a very cluttered bar whitout any recognizable reference to the regular cooky consent options.
Instead of the well-known selections between “Essential”, “Statistics” and “Marketing” cookies (next to the horrible loophole “legitimate interest”), end-users are now presented with a selection of “Silver”, “Gold” and “Platinum”. Each one mysteriously representing an order of the level of cookies that they would allow. The descriptions are also very vague and fail to have any reference to already known terminology for the end-users.
Example: ” Gold Access gives you a balanced experience. Data accessed for content personalisation and site optimisation. Data shared with 3rd parties may be used to track you and store your preferences for this site.”
These texts are too long for any serious end-user that just want to quickly visit the site. They mostly want to choose between “I don’t want to allow ANY optional cookies” and “I don’t give a D@mn”….
I’ve presented the cooky notice to some of my friends and none had any idea they were about cooky consent. They had the idea they had to subscribe to some kind of “Silver, Gold or Platinum” plan to enter the site and chose not to proceed and look elsewhere for their info…
Definately a site killer in this form. Stay as far away from this one as you can!!!
