Sounds like you need a staging site. Then you can test updates/new plugins/setting changes without affecting your live store. If you do something which takes the live store down, you cannot expect an instant reply, so its important.

And if I am not wrong, you are using the plugin for free, what makes you think you deserve instant support response?
