I’m looking for a Gutenberg Gallery with Masonry option.

One that I found that’s almost perfect is the Meow Gallery. However, it displays images vertically, and I want to display images horizontally, just like the standard gallery that comes with WordPress. I tried many others, but unfortunately most of them work only with shortcodes.

    Any suggestions?

I’m not really sure what you mean by displaying “vertically” vs “horizontally”.

Masonry is a grid layout: with rows and columns. That’s why I’m confused by what you’re asking for.

If it helps, here’s a demo of how the Meow Gallery is supposed to look like: https://meowapps.com/meow-gallery/layouts/

If yours looked different from the demos (other than PRO ones), then something was broken in your installation.

The Gallery works fine, it just doesn’t display images horizontally.

Maybe I should’ve used different terms to describe what I mean… The first image I select in the media library starts at the top left of the gallery. The second image is displayed underneath the first one. Instead, I want the next images (2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.) to be displayed next to the first one, until a new row starts.

I quickly illustrated it – that should make it clear: imgur.com/a/ohzS77r

    Thank for the illustration.

Are you aware you can re-arrange the order of the images in the gallery in any way want?

Just select the gallery in the editor, click the Edit Gallery (pencil) icon, and drag and drop any of the images in the gallery to get the perfect order you want.

Of course, if you have a lot of existing galleries, this can be onerous.

    Yes, I’m aware of that.
