Thanks Tammie!
I use the shortcodes of Shortcodes Ultimate any time I want to place a text box in the middle of a page or post, or I want to have an accordion or tabs, or even inserting a youtube video. I also use the shortcodes of Download Monitor to insert a download. Both plugins provides buttons to use their shortcodes, otherwise I wouldn’t remember, those buttons are missing now.
The other point I have, something I read in these forums and I totally agree, one post or page is one block not several little blocks tied together.
Also, I want to remark what I said before, If it is not broken, don’t fix it! This is a very old rule I learned many years ago and I follow it with very good results. Never change something that is working.
I you really want to push Gutenberg leave it as a plugin (the call to action panel is fine), after many thousands of user experiences and all the bugs and incompatibilities fixed, then and just then role it up in the core.
I saw people saying the incompatibilities are mainly the fault of poorly written themes, most probable, but remember that for many users and sites, changing theme is not an easy task. I have a site with a bloated theme, I am wanting to change it, but it is no easy task.
Thanks again
