Hooks not rewarding points for completed action?

    Hello. I am having a few problems regarding the points reward for my hooks such as “points for publishing content” and “points for comment.” Whenever I publish content or comment on that content, my points history doesn’t reflect my rewarded points. I have added the myBalance widget to my primary sidebar and it displays my recent points activity:

    Points for new Page 100 .00
    Points for new Page 100 .00
    Points for new Page 100 .00
    Points for new Page 100 .00
    Points for new Page 100 .00

    I have no settings in myCred that rewards for “Points for new page” and my Points for publishing content settings for points for pages is set to 0.00. Back to what I mentioned before, whenever I create a new post or comment on that post, my points history remains the same and I see no added points to my history. The only hook that has worked for my Q and A plugin (sabaidiscuss) is the Points for Registration hook. Could it be that my Q and A plugin is not compatible with myCred? If so why does the registration hook work and the other hooks don’t? Much Thanks in advance!!!!

    Hi.

    A few questions that could help me replicate / understand this issue:

    1. What color does the icon for “Points for publishing content” hook have on your myCRED > Hooks page?
    2. Have you added any customizations via your themes functions.php file?
    3. Is this a fresh install or did this issue start when you updated?
    4. If you enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file, and then visit the myCRED > Hooks page, do you get any errors that are myCRED related?

    Also can you please link to the Q&A plugin you are referring to?

    Hello, Thanks for the timely response.

    1) I took a screenshot of myCred settings both the hook home page and my settings for the “Points for publishing content.”

    2) I have added a few customizations to my functions.php file such as logout and email redirect php scripts, nothing that I think would offset myCred point functionality.

    3) I fresh installed myCred before I installed my Q and A plugin and the problem existed immediately when I tried to “test” the hooks myself to see if the points would credit for completing an action I set for my hook.

    4) I enabled WP_Debug, and didn’t see any errors. The page ran normally without any problems.

    Morning.

    1) Thank you for this.

    2) I’m sure this is not the cause of any issue. Just wanted to make sure you are not using any custom code that you got from the myCRED website.

    3) Thank you for the link. See this is a premium plugin so I have no access to this and can not run tests. If you disable this plugin and try out the hooks, do they work?

    Since Sabaidiscuss is a premium plugin I have no access to it and can not run any tests to see what, if any, issues there might be. If you disable the plugin and myCRED starts operating normally then there is a conflict between the two plugins.

    If you disable it and the issue still remains, then as a next step, I would disable plugins one by one and test between each to see when myCRED starts working again.

    Could also be that the Q&A plugin is not at fault and something else is causing all these issues. If that’s the case, please let me know about your WP Setup so I can try and replicate the issue. (WP version, PHP version etc).
