    Hello,

I would like to add a “Read More” button to each product that appears in the related products widget. Is this possible through some hook? I couldn’t find this option anywhere in the settings of this widget.

To explain the situation – I am using Woocommerce in catalog mode, i.e. the “add to cart” button is not displayed and only the product name is displayed.

Thank you in advance for the answer.

  • Hello @mrhaza ,
Thanks for reaching out to us.

We have added a controller in the Recently Viewed Product Widget to display Buttons below each of the Products. Please check this screenshot for a better understanding.

If the purchase is disabled on your Shop, then the “Read More” button will start to display as soon as you enable the controller mentioned in the screenshot above. So, a hook is not required in this matter.

If you only want to display the “Read More” button, then disable the Wishlist, Quick View, and Product Comparison Module from the ShopEngine > Modules section.

The Recently Viewed Products will start to display as per your needs right after making the adjustments mentioned above. I hope it will help. But, If you need further assistance in this matter, please let me know. I will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply, I understand this setting, however my question was directed to the “Related Products” widget – not the “Recently Viewed Products” widget.

Is this setting possible in the mentioned widget?

    Thank you.

One more question – so if I decide to use the “Recently Viewed Products” widget as well, I can see the heart icon to add a product to the wishlist, where I can then view that wishlist? Is there a widget for this?

    Hello @mrhaza ,
I hope you’re doing fine and am very sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I’m very sorry for missing the Name of the Widget you’re talking about. Please be informed that the configuration I’ve shown in my response will also work for the “Related Products” widget. Related Product also displays the Add to Cart Button. If the Catalog mode is enabled, the Text of that button will be changed to “Read More”. I hope you can understand the matter here.

Regarding the Next Query, The Products that are added to the Wishlist, can only be accessed from the /my-account page. Wishlist is currently not available as a widget.

Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Prosenjit
