    Hello,

I like the feature of having my stuff posted to Facebook automatically. However, I would have to need to change the text of what is being posted.

Default is that Jetpack takes the headline, or, for Facebook, the excerpt. That is almost fine. However, I’d need it to add something. Something from another plugin (Advanced Custom Fields).

Is there a possibility to hook into the system and add something to what’s going to be posted to facebook?

    Thank you!

You can actually customize the excerpt that’s shared following this guide: https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/#adding-excerpts

Thanks! Just to clarify how I understand it:

So if an excerpt exists, it will be used instead of the default?

Is that only for networks that support a notable amount of content (such as Facebook)? Or would that also apply to Twitter?

Aight humans, I found a suitable solution

On each save, I just overwrite the meta “_wpas_mess” with what I need and I’m good to go.

    Thank you again ??
