• Dear Sendinblue team,

Currently, we are using google Recaptcha to protect the forms. Due to the GDPR issue of google fonts which are loaded by google Recaptcha, we wanted to remove google Recaptcha completely. And therefore we want to use a honeypot to deal with the Spamming.

Are there suggestions/ideas where we could stop the form submission if the honeypot input is filled up?

    Regards,
    Ashiq.

    Hi Ashiq,

    Thanks for contacting us !

As an alternative, I’d recommend you to use the Double opt-in confirmation for your mails instead of the Single opt-in confirmation.
This way, very few spam bots will be able to to subscribe through Double opt-in confirmation, which will make your list cleaner.

However, the Recaptcha option is the best way to prevent spam bots.

I remain at your disposal for any information.

    Best Regards,

    Sendinblue Support Team.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

One last question is there any way I can validated the forms input field by my own and if everything is fine then the form will be submitted?

Any kind of WordPress filter from your plugin is available with that I can validate this.

    Regards,
    Ashiq
