Homepage won't accept anything except text

    NB. Using the Metric theme & woocommerce plugin.

    I’d like to add a revolution slider to my woocommerce homepage, above the product category thumbnails, but when i try and insert it (via a shortcode) nothing is displayed. When i insert the same shortcode on a normal page or post it displays just fine.

    I thought the problem might be with revolution slider so i tried adding an image to the shop homepage. Same thing, nothing displays. Then i tried a youtube embed. Same problem, nothing showing.

    It seems the only thing I can add to my woocommerce homepage is basic text which displays just fine above my product categories.

    Any ideas? Driving me mad.

    hmm.. i’ve messaged them, but it does appear to be related to woocommerce as that’s the only page on the entire site where the phenomenon occurs.
