Homepage slider links not working in Explorer

Using the Vantage theme’s home page slider, images with links appear, but Internet Explorer doesn’t recognize the links. The slider works as intended when viewed with Firefox or Chrome. I have a lot of site visitors using Explorer so I need a resolution. Anyone else run into the same problem?
