Homepage settings

  • I’ve been testing the new theme and I like what I see but I have a question and an issue to ask about.

    First of all, on the homepage in the Featured section, sometimes older posts appear before new ones, which seems a bit strange for a news site.

    Secondly, how can we adjust the setting for each of the sections on the homepage such as Featured, Highlights, and the Posts Grid at the bottom, so that different post categories are displayed in different sections.

    Hi, responding here as well as to your review:

    What you need to do is create two categories. One “Featured” and one “Highlights”.

    Then, in Customize > Theme Options > Blog > Highlight category and Featured category, set the categories created.

    Then simply add the post you wish to show in the different sections to these categories.

    Lets say you have a post in a category named “Sports”, then you would just add “Featured” to that, and it would show “Sports, Featured”. And when you want to remove the post from the featured section, simply remove the featured category from it.

    The featured section is randomized – will take a look at how you can remove that script in a bit.

    Thanks that helps a lot. I have improved my rating in my review, but I think more improvements are needed to make this a five star theme. I’ve made some suggestions that would improve my rating further.
