On the Front page, I customize “Ribbon” section with “Subscribe to my newsletter”, a button named “Subscribe” and an image (in a ribbon shape across the screen).

But after I publish the page, the browser (I tried all browsers) doesn’t show the ribbon image or the subscribe button, it only shows a white space with “Subscribe to my newsletter” words (not clickable).

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • Hi, @afan36988!

    Thanks for choosing Hestia!

This is how the ribbon section from your site looks like for me, the background image is visible. Unfortunately, we were not able to replicate your issue, everything shows properly on our test instances. However, from the code of your site, it looks like there wasn’t added any button. To display the button, there should be some text written in the “Button text” textbox from the Ribbon section, as well as a link for the button, as you can see here. Please make sure these options are configured properly.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Thank you so much for your quick reply! I am very grateful.

I did have “Subscribe” in Button Text, and a link to “https://aileenfan.com/subscription/”. But I only see the button in the “Customize homepage” screen, after I publish the page, the button is missing in the browser.

Do you think it is OrbitFox problem? It hasn’t updated for a while, especially after the new WordPress upgrade.

    Thanks again!

    Hello @afan36988!

This behavior is a little strange, unfortunately I am not able to replicate the issue. Indeed this may be caused by a plugin, but not necessarily OrbitFox. Please backup your site and try to deactivate all the plugins. Then reactivate them one by one so you will be able to identify the plugin that could cause this and then replace it with an alternative one.

    I hope this helps!

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Thank you so much @luciamarinescu!

I followed your instructions. It looks like the other plugins are fine. Although I can’t pinpoint it, it seems that OrbitFox is the key plug-in for the Hestia theme Frontpage. When I disabled it, I messed up the whole front page, the button also disappeared, so I can’t tell if it is the true cause. The plug-in is 2 months old, how can I communicate with the developer?

    Many blessings,

    Hi @afan36988!

Could you please provide us a screenshot with the settings made for the ribbon section in the Customizer?

    Thank you!

    Hi @luciamarinescu,

Here is the image link: https://ibb.co/VQ86XW5

This is what it shows on my Customizing > Frontpage Sections > Ribbon. I have both Button Text and Link entered, but not seen after published. I hope you can see it.

Thank you for your great help!

    Hi @afan36988!

I checked your site again and now both the text and the button are visible, as you can see here. Please let me know if you managed to fix the issue in the meantime.

    Thank you!

    Thank you @luciamarinescu!

I am very grateful for your help and support! Yes, the problem is fixed. I didn’t know what had helped, but I am sure your suggestion (deactivate and reactivate plugins) has helped. Here is what I did:

    1. I deactivated the OrbitFox plugin, the front page was a mess, and then I reactivated the plugin.
    2. I also deactivated the Elementor plugin, because I am not using it for now.
    3. I removed the button text and link in the ribbon for 1 day, published it, and then put it in again the next day.

Again, very grateful for your help! Thank you!!!

    Hi @afan36988!
