    Hello,

The problem is that when you migrate your site, you keep the transients in the database. So you keep all sorts of cached information, including, in the case of Polylang, the urls of the homepages. A good migration tool must not copy the transients to allow the new site to use its own fresh cache.

By changing the default language, Polylang had to reset its cache.

Thank you for the exlanation, i makes sense!

However, I emptyed the cache several times and did lots of tests before found the solution.

The “cache” I was referring to is stored in transients in the database. So generally emptying the cache managed by a cache plugin has no effect. There are some plugins which allow to delete the transients from the interface. But a good migration tool should delete them.

ok now I understand, thank you very much.

Surely, the problem occured because I exported the database manually.

I don’t have any cache system and tryed to change the primary language, no use ??

And my site was a clean install, btw

UPDATE: It happened again. Totally out of the blue. I solved changing the default language twice, as I suggested in the first message of this thread.

It is not happened because of the migration now, I don’t know the reason. I just hope it will never happen again.
