    I just create new site. I want to create the home page i.e. front page of website but when create it shows the permalink https://www.wphew.com/home/ not https://www.wphew.com. The site url and wp url is ok. I can’t use settings>>static front page option because my theme shows featured posts on home page.
    When i type site url it shows front page correct but when i click on home it goes to https://www.wphew.com/home/ and shows normal blank page like others and breadcrumbs look like this home>>home (for info on navigation bar just one home link see) can anyone can help me please

    The front page is the url without anything else. It can show a static page (like Home) or it can show featured posts. But it can’t do both at the same time. You’ll have to choose: what do you want your visitors to see when they visit wphew.com?

    If you want the front page to display Home, you can create a new page for posts (named for instance, “Blog”), and change this setting on Settings–Reading. Your posts would then display on wphew.com/blog. This is usually set in WP, not your theme.

    Thanks for the reply. I deleted home page and enabled “display home link” option from theme options. It works fine but It creates new problem for seo.
    When searched google, it shows site title from site name and tagline and meta description from latest post. Is there any option in yoast plugin to optimize custom home link or any hacks.

    I’m not clear at all what you did in theme options. What theme are you using?

    Can you take a look your .htaccess? and commment what’s inside the .htaccess file

    hello,
    I am using paid theme which has “custom home link” option. To optimize this front page you can use seo>>titles & metas>>home>>title and meta description template.
