homepage not updating and it has me completely stumped

  • firstly, I’ve posted here already

    I’ve also tried creating a static homepage and still can’t win… so here I go again

    I have installed Cloriato Lite here for a client and up until about five hours ago if I added a new post to the homepage it was updating, now I have tried adding a simple “under construction” image to the home page post, but its not appearing.

    I have tried deleting the theme and reinstalling it, resetting the posts data from the database, and still can’t get anywhere.

    any ideas what is wrong, what I can try next or is it related to the theme?

  • I know this might sound obvious, but could it be that you only uploaded the image but didn’t place the <img> tag into the post content ?

    I uploaded the image, same as I normally do, and it shows on the visual tab…

    what i have discovered is that the post is here but i have no idea how or why it won’t show when i click on my home button…

    That specific part of front page is site’s Heading and Description for introductory purpose, you can set it up via theme settings.

    You can’t get the image in there, text only, and it has nothing to do with the post you linked to.

    one more question – can the little opaque rectangle that appears over the homepage banner be removed… ?
