Homepage not found…I am using shop page now

When I selected the shopfront ecommerce theme, the homepage does not show. It was an empty page…so I had to select the shop page to make my homepage…I plan to buy the pro version but the free one has no homepage and it getting me concerned and hesitating to buy….help me get the homepage of your theme live…
