When I’m logged into WordPress and preview my website, my last post isn’t appearing and there are other updates missing as well. For example the post from last week shows 0 comments whereas when I’m logged in it says 8 comments (there are 8 comments).

So it looks like it’s just not getting updated somehow. I tried going to the appearance editor and hit “Update”, but nothing changed. My theme is Twenty Twenty tree.

I found a similar topic on this forum and it said that it’s a cache issue, so I will need to clear the cache. I did that using the “Purge cache” button on top of the wordpress editor. I did this last night, but also a few minutes ago.

However, this doesn’t resolve the problem. Maybe there’s another way to clear my blog’s cache? I don’t know.. does anyone have any ideas.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @marjolondon,

It seems to be something related to cache. Which caching plugin are you using?

Do you think you could have an external caching system like Cloudflare or one in your hosting provider?

Are your plugins and themes updated?

    Thanks

    Hi @marjolondon,

After checking, it seems you using Autoptimize plugin. Have you tried to disable the plugin?

If you not deactivate the plugin, you may try to purge all cache instead purging specific page

    Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

autoptimize does not do page caching (AOPro does, but that’s a different product and it does not look like OP is using that), so that can’t be it ??

now the homepage looked OK from here (BE), but it seems the site is on stackCDN and that the HTML is stored at that level, so it is possible that a page works for a user at location X and not for someone on location Y (due to differences in cache status on stackcdn edge). first job (if the problem persists) would be to ensure the stackcdn cache is entirely flushed.

you can likely ensure the edge cache is ignored by adding a random querystring to the URL, e.g. https://mylondonlifestyle.com/?randomstring=135464slkjqsdoiusdqf

    hope this helps debugging,
    frank (ao dev)
