    Hello! I love this theme, I love how the homepage mosaic works, and want to replicate it, by category…but I can′t find how to do that.

    If I click on a category name, and show all the post of that specific category, I just see a “regular” list of posts, one down the other. I want it to show just the same mosaic of the homepage, but filtered by that category. (And maintain the all posts mosaic in the homepage).

    I know I can configure the homepage mosaic to filter by one or more categories, so it is possible to filter.

    I also know the file that loads the category is archive.php, I tryed to copy the piece of code that creates the mosaic from homepage.php to archive.php, and ok, it works fine but showing all the post…how can I make it filter by the selected category?

    I hope this can be done.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Rgds,
    paloji.

    @paloji,

    Thank you for using our theme. The process can be achieved if you are using Pro version of the plugin. Here you can choose the template to be Portfolio and the mosaic view will be available upon selecting the category- the featured images of the selected category posts will be displayed.

    Hi again,

    I am using the pro version, but don′t know how to activate the mosaic to the category view (archive.php).

    Thanks,
    paloji.

    @paloji,

    There is no need of any activation. Instead create a new page, on the right hand where you use the page template set it to Portfolio and choose the category you want to use. This way the posts of the category will be displayed on that page using mosaic view. Thanks.

    Yes, that is what I have done now, and it works fine!

    The only extra thing I would like to do, is when the user clicks on a category link at the bottom of a post (where you see the categories, tags, etc…), to show the portfolio too instead of the list of posts (here is where the archive.php is loaded).

    Hope I explain myself well.

    Thanks!

    @paloji,

    Unfortunately the option cannot be applied to this part of the theme. Thanks.

    Thanks Sona,

    Just one last question:

    I have seen the homepage mosaic has a different appearance than the portfolio page template. Actually I like better the Portfolio template, because it has a zoom if you put the mouse over, the title and text are links (the colorus are more beautiful in this case for me), it hasn′t the link button that the homepage mosaic has (and I don′t like hehe).

    So now I am trying to make the same hompage mosaic, but with the Portfolio template, I created a new page with this template, showing ALL the categories on it. It works just fine by its own, as independent page, but it doesn′t work fine when selecting that page as static home page.

    The issue is that I want to load, for instance, the last 10 posts, but leave available the option to load more by clicking on the “load more” button, or just making infinite scroll. If the page is configured as the static home page, instead of loading more posts, post 11, 12, 13, etc…it loads the first 10 again, it repeats them forever.

    If the page is not selected as the static homepage, it works just perfectly fine.

    Is there any fix for this bug?

    Thanks a lot!
    Pablo.

    thank you very much for reporting this bug.

    it will be fixed in the next version.
    Also there will be an option to have gallery page’s zoomin effect on homepage and homepage’s slide effect on gallery page template.

    Thanks a lot Tigram,

    Hope the new version released soon, so I can get the fix and the new options within my support time ?? (6 months if I remember well).

    I guess this issue can me marked as resolved now ??

    Thanks!
    Pablo.
