    Hello,

I am reaching out for assistance with an issue I’m encountering on my website, which is affecting my search engine presence and SEO performance.

I have noticed that Google Search Console is displaying an incorrect canonical URL for my homepage. Instead of recognizing my actual homepage as the canonical one, it is pointing to a Brazilian page that is completely unrelated to my site. This is obviously quite concerning as it could impact my site’s visibility and search rankings.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that my homepage is missing from all sitemaps generated by my website. I have tried various methods to rectify this issue, such as clearing cache and checking for any possible exclusions that might have been set inadvertently, but to no avail. The homepage still does not appear in any sitemap, and I am unable to make it show up.

Could you please provide me with guidance on how to resolve this issue? Any help or suggestions you could offer would be greatly appreciated, as I need to ensure that my homepage is correctly indexed and recognized by search engines.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Hello @cront86,

    Thank you for contacting support.

Can you please make sure that you don’t have any custom canonical set in our plugin for the homepage? If you do, please remove it and allow the plugin to generate the self-referencing canonical.

That will make sure that the page is added to the sitemap as well.

After making those changes, make sure the sitemap cache is flushed by following the steps here: https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
