Homepage help needed.

  • Hello,

    How do I show the short version of a post on the homepage? One of my posts is very long and I would like to show the shortened version and have folks click on the title to take them to the full version.

  • Put the more tag in the post itself, otherwise you can change the_content to the_excerpt in your home page file – both of which have been discusseed ad naseum on this forum and can be found easily by searching before posting. Have a nice day.

    Edit post and add the <!--more--> tag to the post where you want it to stop. There is a “more” button at the top of your post editor that will insert this code as well.
