Homepage Control components not found.

Hello!

I am having a hard time trying to customize my static homepage. I just installed the Homepage Control plugin and went to Appearance>Customize to work with it, but the following message is showing:

“No homepage components found. Please contact your theme author to make your theme compatible with Homepage Control or see this guide for details on how to do this yourself.”

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling several different themes, but nothing yet. Is anyone familiar with this scenario?

I need help please.
