Homepage content not loading up

  • Under the 4 content boxes, my page stops. Not sure when this happened but I noticed it today.

    When I click on Edit Page, I see all the texts/headings etc in both Visual and Text(html) tabs but they don’t show up in the page. I haven’t made any changes to the since it was last working. Not sure why the text isn’t showing up on the site where it clearly is in the page when I try to edit it.

    Note that I did not create a child theme when I created the site and at this point, it’s too complicated for me to create a child theme and make all the changes again. I did hire some people for some functionalities which were beyond my pay grade. For this reason, I cannot upgrade the theme. I tried it once and it messed up the whole site and I had to restore from backups.

  • Hi @aamerkheraj, install the Redux Framework plugin and check if the content area is enabled under the Custom Front Page section

    Where can I find the Custom Front Page section?

    Under appearance->customize->Homepage Settings

    Under Homepage, I have the correct page selected – if that’s what you mean.

    Theme Options -> Custom Home/Front Page

    I don’t see Custom Home/Front Page

    not sure what can cause the issue as you are using really old theme version :(. Default WP theme shows the content when you enable it?

    I just checked the “Twenty Seventeen” theme and it shows fine.

    I do have customize under the Evolve theme and Homepage Settings on the left shows the following.

    You can choose what’s displayed on the homepage of your site. It can be posts in reverse chronological order (classic blog), or a fixed/static page. To set a static homepage, you first need to create two Pages. One will become the homepage, and the other will be where your posts are displayed.
    Your homepage displays
    Your latest posts (NOT SELECTED)
    A static page (SELECTED)
    Homepage
    (In the drop down, the correct “HOME” page is selected)
    + Add New Page
    Posts page
    (–SELECT–)
    + Add New Page

    Try with the newest theme version. Just backup your current version and activate the new one, you can revert anytime if any issue.
