    Hi,
after using Koko Analytics for several months, just today I discovered something that I think it’s a big limitation of the plugin and should absolutely: 1) be fixed or 2) clearly underlined in the plugin description:

the plugin actually is not capable of counting homepage visits (it counts only when homepage is set as a static page) neither category-pages visits.

The related explanation from the plugin support:

Homepage and category pages are indeed not counted as Koko works by counting hits on the post or page ID. So anything that doesn’t have an ID (like a category or latest posts page) currently can’t be counted.

This plugin has great potential because it is simple and effective, anyway please fix this big problem or at least say it clearly from the beginning, so users can decide whether Koko Analytics is suitable for them or not.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I agree. Homepage visits are now (as of version 1.0.34) counted, even when they have no underlying post ID.

Archive pages are in the works, still mulling over how to do that effectively.
