Homepage all blanks – other pages work just fine

  • Hi,

    Would like to have a question on a blank homepage please.

    So my website runs smoothly and no changes were made, but today, the screen will be blank when I visit the homepage (arborfs.com). It has changed a bit since I’m currently in the process of deactivating all my plugins.

    The weird thing is, the homepage is actually working normally if visited via mobile phone.

    Can you kindly tell me what this problem is mostly caused by?

  • Just looking at the source code, the page seems to break when the ACF plugin is called, how it’s referenced I can’t tell from the front end, looks like that would be the source of the issue, especially as the plugins now been deactivated, whatever’s being called it can’t find.

    If you try removing this code from your home pages template that’ll be the best way to check if this is indeed the cause.

    As always, backup first.

    thanks a lot for your reply

    I have deactivated all the plugin and reactivate them individually

    seems to work

    but I still can’t find the problematic plugin (although I refreshed the homepage after deactivating and reactivating each individual plugin)

    Do you think this has to do with the source code you were writing about?

    Yep, as it breaks just before the ACF code is called, the chances are it’s that code which is causing your issue, it’s more than likely calling upon the missing plugin.
