Home widget area won't hide properly

First of all thank you for a beautiful theme.

I have a slight problem with hiding the home widget area, it won’t hide. In the demo I can see how the pictures extend all the way to the right, to under the social media section. When I select hide widget area, the pictures remain the same, they won’t extend.

Any solution?
