Home Top Feature Image width not constrained, "squished"

Great theme guys! I have run into one issue though.

The image dimensions for the “Home Top Feature Image”, uploaded native dimensions 900×350, are distorted.
As the browser window gets smaller, the image becomes disproportionately narrower. It’s most noticeable on my smartphone, but also on a medium-sized browser window on desktop. And now that I’ve taken a screenshot, it just occurred to me that even at full-screen on desktop the might be a little distortion.

I’m guessing that this might be because the responsiveness is including the “padding” width on the the left and right of the image, which remains constant at all sizes.

Any suggestions how I could fix this?
