home theme not showing up?

Hi! i decide to move my site to my localhost for faster editing. so i’m using the latest xampp. i moved my site using the duplicator plugin AND also moving it manually, but get the same issue. the dashboard works perfectly, and when i click “customize” in appearance, the home screen and all contents are perfect! but if i go to localhost/mysite, all of my page content(text and links) is there, but it’s all left justified with a white background, like there is absolutely no theme installed? weirdest thing. can someone help me with this? i’m using the latest xampp, and I’ve checked every file that i know of to make sure that’s its routed to localhost, and not the actual domain, including the databases. i’m at a total loss.
