    Hi –

I just created two new slides for my homepage but they are not showing and the order of the slides are messed up.

Can you let me know how can I fix the issue please?

    Thanks!

    Hey,
Have you cleared your cache? How many slides have you added? Your slider seems to be working fine from what I can tell, but I don’t know how many slides you’ve added nor the order they’be been added.

    Hi Hannah,

    Yes I cleared the cache.

There are 11 slides but it’s just showing 9 of them and there are not in order either.

I couldn’t find the setting that shows how many slides I can have so to increase the number.

I’m not sure why it’s behaving this way as I have not changed any setting…

    Thanks!

Is there any way to increase the number of slides shown on the homepage? where can I find the setting?

    Thanks,

I just tested and I’m able to add 11 slides without any problems on my site. The amount of images in your home slider should be equal to the amount of slides you’ve created.

Just add all the slides you need and save. It should show them.

If that doesn’t work after clearing your cache as well, let me know.

You should be able to add more slides already. I just tested this and created a slider on my homepage with 11 slides and there was no problem. Are all your slides showing correctly in the back end? Do you know your php memory settings?

The problem is intermittent. Now it works fine but again it will occur while I’m working on the website.

How do I check the php memory setting and what setting indicates a problem?

    Thanks,

Are you using a caching plugin? Make sure all your cache is being cleared.
Your host would be able to tell you your php memory settings and also increase it for you if necessary. If you were unable to add more slides that could have been what was blocking it. But it doesn’t necessarily sound like that’s the problem.

    Thanks Hannah!

What is the best caching plugin to use? can you suggest the one you are using?

    Thanks,

I use WP Rocket, but it’s a premium plugin. If you are not wanting to pay W3 Total Cache is generally a decent option.
