• I’ve had a simple version of my home recording blog, Homebrewed Music running for a few years now. After I did a WordPress project for a friend I decided to revamp my site.

I used “Fog” by Milo for my friend’s site, and in the process learned a bit about tweaking the theme. I added some additional placeholders for background images and came up with my new look.

    Whaddya think?

  • Not bad. The background color and the color of the text could be an issue for some viewers that have visual impairments as a gray background and nearly gray text would probably blend into itself for them. Also making the links more differentiated from the text color would probably help out in the usability department, as well.

But overall, not a bad site.

Thanks for the input. I made the background darker and the fonts lighter. I’ll continue to tweak for readability and useability.

I visted your site and loved it! It really looks great and you display wordpress in a very special way.

WordPress really allows a person who can code to do alot.

I would also be interested in interviewing you. I own a interviewing site called Interviewed You.

You can find us on google “Interviewed You Site” We are the 3d in the list I believe.

I’m Max Pen there. Tell me if you you are interested.

Looks great but a few shapes and patterns would be nice. A blank grey is boring i the long run. Try adding colorful frames to your divs or headlines. May I suggest a color-scheme? Black and white! The colorful instruments in your header could be made grayscale and the background could have shifts of white. That would be awesome.

Other than that; well organized, well done.
