    Hi Everybody,

I have a blog that I decided to change the home page on. Most blogs have the standard list of 7 to 10 recent posts listed. I wanted to replace the posts scenario with a static page. (Better for SEO purposes.)

Anyway, I did what I thought would be a temporary experiment to see what my home page might look like. I created a simple home page and selected it to be the page that would display instead of “Recent Posts”.

The page I created appeared as the home page as expected. I decided to delete the experimental home page because I didn’t have time to add the necessary content right then.

I deleted the page, reset the “Recent Posts” to display as home page, but they wouldn’t display. I get an “Oops, That wasn’t found” error message instead.

No matter what I do I can’t get my home page to appear the way it’s supposed to. I’ve cleared my browser cache. I’ve fiddled with the WordPress settings and nothing helps.

Does anybody know what might be causing this problem?

    My website is:

Sorry for the long post but this is a confusing issue.

    Regards,

    Mark

    Hi Again,

I noticed other forum posters having trouble with their home pages and a suggestion was to disable a redirection plugin if it was being used.

I followed the advice to deactivate my redirection plugin and it fixed the problem.

    Thanks,

    Mark Hanson
