Home page while using Virtue/Kadence free theme

    Hi,

    I am using the Virtue free theme from Kadence. It fine for all situations but if i set the home page as static page and set that page as one with POTD with some text the formatting is totally destroyed. the top bar is gone and some text shows up.
    Am not sure if its the Theme or WPPA (as only happens when POTD is included in home page)

    Please advise

    1. Can you tell me how i switch the lightbox interference from that theme off?
    It changes data-rel=”wppa” into data-rel=”lightbox” resulting in lightbox conflicts.
    2. A link please… On my test site i see no problems except lightbox issue.

    It looks that NO css is loaded.

    When you inspect the page source, many css and js files are html commented,
    i.e. in comment tags: <!-- This is inside html comment tags -->

    Did you compress / cache css and js files? It looks like.
    Can you switch that off?

    Have switched off gzip from wp fastest cache

    Why do you use cache anyway?

    I put the gzip off. Will completely deactivate the plugin

    Cache to improve speed? Any alternate means you will suggest?

    I suggest the following procedure.

    1. Set up your website completely without any kind of optimalisation.
    2. Install plugin Query Monitor to check on errors/warnings and monitor performance: page generation time, total db i/o time etc.
    3. Carefully try optimizers when needed. Every optimisation has its price. Optimizers where the price is damaged layout or damaged functionality should not be used.

    The only cacher i did not experience problems with so far is Comet Cache, but tis is not a guarantee that it will not harm your site.
