• How do I have a permanent home page introducing my blog and have a blog topic page? Currently my Home page is the blog page – where can I introduce the site?

Its ok – I figured it out.

    …and what is the answer

    Thanks

Hi… I need the answer also! Please? ??

I think it would really help others to answer the question…

    Thanks,

    Gaston

First, create a page for your posts, call it Posts or something. Make it a child so that it does not show up on the navigation. (something that WP has not figured out yet)
Next, create your new Home Page –
Then, go to the reading section under Settings
    After “Front Page Displays:”
    Click “Static Page”
Then, use the 2 drop downs to choose where your front page will land and where your posts will land.

Check out https://www.opalquality.com My posts land on What’s News & Interesting

My posts now land on “What’s News & Interesting”

Also – – you can hide the Home page navigation on the header options menu:
Navigation Home link display: Click No

I am working with Flexsqueeze. I don’t know if this Makes a difference.

It helped me a lot. My home address finally pointed to the right page and posts also landed on where I wanted them to. Thank you very much, dmercyme!

Thank you! I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how to control what page showed up as my “home” page. (It was defaulting to my web host’s landing page.)
