I can confirm this as well. It’s fine if the video doesn’t play on mobile, as it kills performance.

If the background color loads or an alternate image loads instead, but it just shows a white screen.

My video is short and small in size. I did this so it would not have issues playing on mobile devices.

Currently if the video does not load on mobile all the viewer seeing is a white screen. I can’t even get the font color to change from white to black so when the video does not load visitors can still see my tag line.

Nope. I decided to loaded a background image on mobile devices, instead of the video.

I’m just loading a background image in css as a backup solution for this. Just take a screen grab of the video and save it at 1920×1080.

thank you zero6 the css given by you works perfectly but only white space covered with this code still the slider is not shown properly..it is overlapped by the uploaded image..

I did an auto-install yesterday of this theme and the video was playing on android (I think in Firefox, but may have been chrome).

Today I did an update to 1.4.8, and now the video is no longer playing on mobile.

I have no explanation, but it does show that the video can be played on mobile, and contrary to a related thread on the mageewp.com site forum, the video looked good on mobile. No performance issues either.

Any insights or observations are welcome and appreciated.

There has to be a way to get this working on mobile.

This is odd, and related so I thought I’d add it to the topic.

Today I did an update to 1.4.8, and now the video is no longer playing on mobile.

I have no explanation, but it does show that the video can be played on mobile, and contrary to a related thread on the mageewp.com site forum, the video looked good on mobile. No performance issues either.

Theme looks great on pc. does not show video on mobiles (android and iOS)

We have disabled video background on mobile devices because they can’t support this feature well. Sorry for the inconvenience.

but WTF? if it can’t play video on mobile, it is half useless
