home page text alignment & link colors

Hello,
I am working on getting a site set up using this Bharat theme and would like to change the alignment of the text on the home page. Currently there is a photo to the right and then a block of text to the left. This block of text is centered, I would like to right align it.

I also would like to change the color of the links – right now when I create a link the color is grey. I would like to change that to have a roll-over color and also a different link color that shows up better. How can I get that done?

Can you assist me in how to do this?
