Home page template not displaying properly

Hello there!
Is this installation vanilla or have you done some customization to the templates?
Do you have plugins enabled? If yes, which one? This way I can try to reproduce your issue locally.

It’s plain vanilla. No changes, other than trying to add the home page template.

is “Disable Gutenberg” enabled?
If yes, that one is the problem! A block theme uses blocks… which are gutenberg editor feature of course

Yes, it was. I’ve just disabled it. Do I need to delete it?
