Home page still displaying posts after ‘static page’ option selected

  • Hi Folks, I’m trying to change the front page of my blog to a static front page using the new option available under 2.1

    I goto options, select the reading tab, select the ‘Front page displays : A static page (select below)’ Option

    I then select the appropriate pages from the drop downs that I want to use as my homepage.

    The thing is. When I update my options, nothing changes.

    I’ve cleared my cache etc and double checked that the settings are saved but I’m still seeing all my blog entries (as opposed to the static page I’ve selected) when I go the my domains homepage.

    Am I missing something out?

  • From my brief testing, it seems you should set a page in Front Page ONLY then that page will be your homepage…don’t set a page in Post Page.

    Also, if you have plugins activated, you may want to deactivate them and see if one of them is causing a problem.
