home page not loading outside of wordpress

    My home page — 411travelzine.com — loads fine when I preview it from my admin page. However, when I type in the url in the browser or when clicking on it as a link from a search engine, etc., the home page comes up blank. All the other pages load fine. What do I do?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    just deactivated all plugins. still nothing for the home page. any other suggestions?

    Did you try switching to the default TwentyTen theme?

    actually, now it is loading. guess it’s one of the plugins and a process of trial and error. thanks for the help.

    whoops take that back — now I’m only getting a partial load. it’s weird. one minute it was loading fine after deactivating the plugins and now it’s only doing a partial load.

    Did you try switching to the default TwentyTen theme?

    After deactivating the plugins — all my categories disappeared and then reappeared! what the…? something strange is definitely goin’ on…

    no I didn’t try switching to the twentyten theme. this is a magazine site with a lot of settings. will I lose all my settings if i switch themes?

    Thanks esmi. After deactivating then reactivating, it seems the regenerate thumbnails was the culprit. I also kept w3 total cache deactivated as it doesn’t seem to help much anyway. Thanks again for your help and suggestions. All is back and up and running.
