Home Page not displayed properly in English

Hello,
I just started using Polylang and already encountered a problem.

My original site in Spanish is correctly displayed including its homepage.

Nevertheless, the English homepage displays only two paragraphs and a few links.

It should loook the same as in Spanish. Please note that in wordpress the english version of the homepage does look like the spanish one with all the photos, paragrpahs and links.

How is this even possible?
