  • Hi,

If the website in question is running any cache plugin/system, please make sure it is configured per the instructions here – https://support.wptouch.com/support/solutions/articles/5000537668-optimizing-caching-plugins-for-mobile-use

If it is not, please share the URL of the website in question and we’ll take a look at it.

Hello, I am not using a cache plugin currently. One of the sites is
    https://www.newenglandextra.com

It has no problem showing WP Touch when I go to an article, but just won’t bring it up on the homepage anymore.

I have these plugins active on the site currently:

    Akismet
    Auto-hyperlink URLs
    Better Delete Revision
    Contact Form 7
    Easy Add Thumbnail
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    Google Analyticator
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Jetpack Only for Admins
    jQuery lazy load plugin
    Mail From
    Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin
    Simple expires
    Simple Page Sidebars
    Simple Tags
    Theme Junkie Team Content
    TinyPass
    TJ Custom CSS
    TJ Shortcodes
    WassUp Real Time Analytics
    Wordpress Facebook Like Plugin
    Wordpress Firewall
    WP Most Popular
    WPtouch Mobile Plugin
    Yoast SEO

    Thanks for looking into it.

    Erik,

Thank you for the info. You may want to contact your web host and ask if there is any type of caching system on the server. If there is, it’ll need to be configured to ignore the WPtouch user agents.

Note that once WPtouch is active, it should display for visitors on supported mobile devices. So it may be something server-side.

Thank you very much for that info. I talked to our host and the server side caching was blocking WPtouch on the homepage. They said I would need to add some code to the .htaccess file to make the caching ignore Wptouch user agents, but I don’t know what to add and am unsure about doing it (I don’t want to mess something up by accident.)

So, I just disabled the server-side caching and it is back working again with an acceptable loading speed.

    Thanks again!

Great to know you got that sorted out. Thank you for letting us know. You’re welcome.

    Regards,
